Life Insurance AFM provides Life insurance to all employees. Employees may also opt to purchase additional supplemental insurance at discounted rates!
Health Insurance AFM partners with industry leaders to provide employees with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Disability Insurance At AFM we provide our employees with short- and long-term disability insurance to provide income replacement should an employee be injured.
401(k) Match 401(k) retirement plan is funded by employees through payroll deductions. Employees are fully vested from day 1 and are provided with a generous employer match!

Wellness Plan AFM provides employees with a comprehensive wellness plan that inspires and engages individuals to make small achievable changes to their daily routine that will enhance their overall health. The program is designed to support and encourage a holistic approach to employee wellbeing by creating an organizational culture of health.
FSA & FHA Saving Accounts FSAs allow employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible medical expenses. HSAs are available to employees who enroll in a High Deductible Health Plan.
Education Assistance AFM employees are our greatest asset, we invest in our employee’s ongoing education. Employees are provided with continuing education courses to keep their knowledge up to date.
Holidays Paid Employees are provided with Paid Time off for vacation, sick, and personal time off. Additionally, AFM offers 9 paid holidays per year.
Paid Time Off Volunteer At AFM, we care about giving back to our communities. We offer employees paid time off to volunteer at a charity of their choosing.
Continuing Education AFM reimburses $3000 per year incurred by an employee for continuing education through an accredited program that offers growth in an area related to his or her current position.
Work Life Balance AFM provides a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences.

Why Intern at AFM?

At AFM, our people are our most valuable resource, and that includes our interns! We care about our employees, and we also understand the importance of teaching the future generation of foresters.

What sets our internships apart? You will be paired with a forester throughout the summer and work on various projects. For example: cruising timber, site prep, inventory, learning how to manage multiple logging crews and so much more!

Are you ready to get your boots dirty?! We also provide networking opportunities where you are meeting foresters who have been working in the field for years. Throughout the summer you will receive continuous and on-going feedback. What we can offer- if you are someone who is looking to build work experience, get hands on training, learn from professionals, gain confidence and learn more about consulting forestry, then this internship is for you!
